Programs, prices and terms of payment

General information for our guests:

Half board in El Refugio comprises a sociable buffet breakfast and a two or three course dinner in the evening.
Beverages not included in the price.
We offer only double rooms. You can share a double room with a fellow traveller or book a "half double room" (i.e.: You share a double room with another guest).
If you prefer your own room you need to pay a surcharge for single occupancy of 13,-€ per night.
As an early booker you might have the opportunity to rent our bungalow: 2 separate bedrooms with 2 beds each, large living room and your own kitchen. When you booked one of our riding programmes (see below) and you would like to stay in our bungalow, this will be subject to extra charges.
Minimum stay for overnight guests: 4 nights
Please bring your own riding wear, we do not offer it.

Holidays for non-riders:

7 nights in a double room, half board

485,- € per person for one week

Or:

Bungalow for 4 people, self-catering

385,- € per week

Riding lessons and trail riding:
You are on vacation in the vicinity of our horse farm? You'd like to stay with us but you can´t decide which riding programme to choose? No problem: Ask for riding lessons or participation in trail rides through the La Mata nature park at short notice.

For any participation in riding lessons and trail rides you must be at least 15 years old.

Maximum weight: 85 kg.

Beach rides are only offered for residents of our guesthouse who are participating in one of our riding programs mentioned below!

Longe lessons for beginners: 20,- € / 20 minutes
Lessons in the riding arena: 30,- € / 35 minutes
Trail rides in the La Mata nature park: 35,- € / 60 minutes; 52,- € / 90 minutes; 70,- € / 2 hours

Please bring your own riding wear, we do not offer it.

Riding holidays (horse treks with 2 day trail) - Not in the months of April, June, July, August, December -	1.110,- € per person for 1 week (8 days/6 riding days/7 nights in a double room, half board - breakfast + dinner/ on our 2 day trail, lunch will be either a saddlebag picnic or we'll eat in a bar/restaurant + transfer to the horses) beverages + insurance not included in the price / surcharge for single occupancy 95,-€ per week
> Guardamar-Vega Baja-Trail <	1.315,- € per person for 1 week (8 days/6 riding days/7 nights in a double room, full board - breakfast + dinner/ lunch will be a saddlebag picnic or we'll eat in a bar/restaurant + transfer to the horses) beverages + insurance not included in the price / surcharge for single occupancy 95,-€ per week

Transfer:

If you are not travelling by car or hire car, we offer transfers to Alicante airport or to our nearby bus stations in Torrevieja and Guardamar between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Alicante Airport <-> Riding stable "El Refugio": 110,- € per person (there and back)
Torrevieja bus terminal <-> Riding stable "El Refugio": 20,- € per person (there and back)
From there, there is a shuttle bus to the airport in Alicante (Link to the timetable)
This express bus makes no intermediate stops.
Guardamar bus terminal - horse farm "El Refugio": 10,- € per person (there and back)
From there, there is a regular bus service to the bus station in Alicante (Link to the timetable)
This bus does not go to the airport or the train station in Alicante!

If your arrival or departure time does not fall within the 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. time slot, please organise your own arrival and departure (e.g. by taxi).
Arrivals after 22:00 are not possible - we are not a hotel.

Additional heating costs:

From november to march the rooms on our horse farm can be heated on demand. Costs are 50,-€ per week and room.

Terms of Payment:

You can pay cash or by credit card/debit card.
When making your reservation you need to pay a deposit of 150,- €.
In case of bank transfers please make sure that you use the free SEPA transfer in Euros; transfers from EU countries to Spain are no foreign bank transfers!
When sending money from non-EU countries please ensure to bear the costs incurred. All banking fees imposed on us will be added to the price!
